FAQ's

Should the red light be permanently illuminated?

The red light should be constantly on if it is flashing and the unit is beeping this generally means there is a problem with your power.  Try plugging out the power supply and pushing it back in firmly again then press the dark green cancel button if this does not solve the problem try some other electrical object in the socket to see if the socket is working. In the event of there being further problems please contact our services department.

The small green light is flashing and unit is beeping what does this mean?

The small green light flashing indicates there is a problem with your phone line and the unit is not getting a line.  Disconnect unit from socket and plug phone directly into socket and try dialling a number, if there is still a problem contact your phone provider.

 Is the pendant water proof?

It is recommended that the pendant is not immersed in water for long periods of time, but can be worn in the shower or bath.

Can I wear my pendant in the garden?

The pendant has a range of approximately 50m and can be worn in the house and the garden.

What if I lose my pendant?

If you lose your pendant you will have to replace it at a small cost, however if the pendant breaks and you still have it in your possession contact our services department and they will replace it free of charge once your system is in warranty.

How do I change my contacts details?

You can contact our Monitoring Centre 24/7 on 1850 23 23 24 option 4 or you can press the red button on your unit and notify us of the changes.

Can I have more that one pendant?

You can have 12 peripherals on the Lifeline 400 and 35 peripherals on the Connect + unit.

What happens if I press my button by accident?

If you press your button by accident just advise the staff when they call out through the unit that it was accident and they will close off the call.  We would advise that you test your pendant at least once a month to make sure everything is in working order.

When do I change the battery in my pendant?

The battery in the pendant tests itself every seven days against the unit and if found to record low battery it will place an automatic call to our monitoring centre.  The services department will place a call to the client and ask that they wear the pendant for a few minutes and then place a call using the pendant this should rectify the problem if not a new pendant will be forwarded by post.

Is there a backup battery in the event of a power failure?

The unit itself has a battery pack which starts automatically when you have a power cut and once power is restored it reverts back to mains and also charges the battery pack.
